TourYana wasn’t born in a boardroom; it was born from real conversations with thousands of travelers just like you.

Our story begins over eight years ago with the success of ArriveTurkey.com, a travel platform dedicated to helping people explore the rich culture of Turkey. As ArriveTurkey grew, our founder, Mohammed Ismailoglu, noticed a recurring theme in the thousands of messages he received: travelers weren’t just asking where to go—they were asking where to shop.

They wanted to know:

It became clear that for many, shopping wasn’t just an activity; it was a vital part of the travel experience. Yet, there was no single, trusted resource dedicated to guiding them. Travelers were left to piece together information from scattered blogs, outdated forums, and generic travel sites.

We created TourYana to solve that problem.

In 2023, we launched TourYana as the world’s first and only platform dedicated exclusively to travel shopping. We built it to be the definitive answer to every traveler’s shopping questions, combining expert knowledge with a passion for discovery.

A Word from the Founder

My name is Mohammed Ismailoglu, a dual Egyptian-Turkish citizen. While I work in business and brand development, my true passion has always been traveling across borders and discovering new cultures through shopping and exploration.

Throughout my journeys across dozens of countries, I realized something profound: shopping isn’t just about buying things—it’s a gateway to understanding local life, connecting with artisans, and uncovering the soul of a destination.

After nearly a decade in the travel industry and thousands of conversations with travelers from every corner of the globe, one question kept coming up: ‘Where should I shop?’ That question inspired me to create TourYana—a platform dedicated exclusively to helping travelers navigate the world’s best shopping destinations with confidence and insider knowledge.
